In April 2015, three team members of the AsTeRICS Academy has been in Zimbabwe to held workshops and introduce the low cost Assistive Tools.
AsTeRICS Academy took part in the EPU Healthcare and Rehabiltation project, where the corresponding conference days as well as a FABI-workshop were held in Kazakhstan
From July 11th to July 21st, the first AsTeRICS Academy Assistive Technology Summer School took place at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien in Vienna, Austria. It was a great success, we could welcome 30 students from 13 countries like India, Iran, Mongolia, Netherlands, Swiss, Spain, Portugal or Czech Republic.
AsTeRICS Academy project leader Chris Veigl and team member Martin Deinhofer presented the AsTeRICS Academy tools and developments at the 7th ICT Innovations conference from 1st to 4th October 2015 in Ohrid, Macedonia.
Project leader Chris Veigl and team member Benjamin Aigner went to Kenya in November 2015. One the one hand they held AsTeRICS Academy workshop (Assistive tools workshop and user workshop) and on the other hand they worked with colleagues from the MERU University for Science and Technology on a proposal for an APPEAR funding.

We could welcome 29 students from 18 countries like Zimbabwe, South Africa, Brazil, India, Tunis, Mongolia, Italy, Spain, Portugal or Czech Republic.
